The Cinnamon Lakers need a great story if they're going to sell their homemade newspaper, The Cinnamon Lake News. Sales have been dropping since their rivals, the Vultures, introduced their own paper. Unless sales improve, the Cinnamon Lakers will never have enough money to build a clubhouse.

Molly decides to stretch the truth about missing cats in the neighborhood to boost sales. Her articles cause quite a stir, but soon Molly's wondering whom she can trust.

With too many "white lies" circulating, will Molly be able to uncover the truth about the catnapper?

As the Cinnamon Lakers prepare to stage their first Christmas play, they discover that they need help. Sam Benson, a member of the Vultures, a club on the other side of the lake, is recruited.

When Cinnamon Lake Elementary holds a mock election, the third grade class nominates Cinnamon Lake club members, Quentin and Sunny. But their arch enemies, the Vultures, are running for office, too. Who will be elected?

As the campaign winds down, strange things begin to happen to the Vultures' nominees, Ben and Marty. Who is sabotaging their campaign? Why are students blaming Molly and Dirt?
