Dandi Daley Mackall is the award-winning author of over 500 books for children and adults. She visits countless schools, conducts writing assemblies and workshops across the United States, and presents keynote addresses at conferences and author events. She is a frequent guest on radio talk shows and podcasts and has made dozens of appearances on TV. Dandi has won numerous awards for her writing, including the Helen Keating Ott Award for Contributions to Children’s Literature, the Edgar Award, Reader’s Choice Award, International Reading Association Hall of Fame, Christian Book Awards, and Mom’s Choice Awards. Dandi writes from rural Ohio, where she lives with her husband, Joe, and daughter Katy. They are surrounded by their other children and grandchildren, plus horses, dogs, cats, tortoise, turtle, skink, and an occasional injured squirrel, raccoon, bunny, or bird.
