Finally, I've figured out how to write a newsletter to my favorite readers!

For the past few years, I've tried to save emails from readers who were kind enough to take the time to write me about my books. If you're getting this, then that includes you. So, first of all, thanks! Thanks for letting me do what I love-write.

I've been writing a lot, in case you haven't noticed. I think I'm up to around 450 published books now. God is so good. Lots of new books out for all ages: birth to adult.

Larger-than-Life Lara, Dutton/Penguin - is a finalist for the Kentucky Bluegrass Award this year. It's also a finalist for the William Allen White Award for 2008. The book is on state lists in Kentucky and Kansas.

New Books Just around the Corner

New horse books! All of you Winnie the Horse Gentler fans have been after me to write more Winnie books, so I've written a new series that's a spin-off from Winnie: STARLIGHT ANIMAL RESCUE. I'll be telling you the inside scoop on the series in my next email-but Winnie and Catman return...and they're seniors in high school now. Other books in the series feature Catman's cousin, along with some quirky new characters I hope you'll love.

I Can Read Books - Look for a fun new series of Ali Cat books for young readers.

Crazy in Love, Dutton/Penguin, will be out in paperback soon.

Dandilion Rhymes, WaterBrook/Random House - A series of fun rhyming books, beginning with A Gaggle of Geese and a Clutter of Cats; The Blanket Show. New books coming this summer: When God Made My Toes & God Loves Me More Than That! A Girl Named Dan, Sleeping Bear Press, 2008 - This is my story about the first writing contest I ever won...and the lesson learned from it. But I'll talk more about it next time, okay?
